On a Happier Note...
Valentine's day just ended! I hung out with my single friend Michael, a singer. We went back to Tandoori Flame for the greatest Indian buffet ever. After, we planned to see Percy Jackson and the Olympians, but the movie theatre resembled a mosh pit. That sucker was CROWDED. So we went to Blockbuster, where I bought District 9 and A Scanner Darkly. We watched the latter, as he has already seen District 9. Scanner was quite dark and weird, but quite interesting. I don't like a lot of Keanu films, but I iked this one.
Rest In Peace, Jessica Lloyd
I didn't know her, but I know someone who did. It's not fair when good people are murdered for no reason. Not for anyone.
Her death is a pretty big story here in Ontario. I'm not sure about the rest of Canada.
This anonymous person who knew her was postering her picture all over the place, trying to find her. She gave so much of her time and love. Hopefully Jessica knew in some way.
In anonymous' bio for a show she's working, she wrote, "I hope by the time this show opens, she will be found." About 2 days later, Jessica was found dead. She is of course being given a chance to change this. We are dedicating one of our shows to her memory.
I feel really bad for the family right now. In high school, my friend Paula suffered a similar situation. It wasn't full out murder, but her sister Sarah was killed. Some jackass stole a car and was trying to evade the police when he crashed into her. If that wasn't bad enough, press called her family for literally years trying to get a statement out of them. How awful can you be? How can anyone think this is okay? They should be given a chance to move on. Every time the guy was up for parole, they got more calls.
So I pray that Jessica's family is given the opportunity to have both peace and justice for their loved one.
Also, to the other woman that was killed. I have no connection to her, but she deserves all the same, as does her family.
