What a crap week

A lot has happened since I wrote a little over a week ago. I couldn't write about it because my computer died, and I wasn't able to use my parents' computer as much as I wanted. That and laziness. But here goes...

On Saturday me and Christina went to get manicures. After, we went to Swiss Chalet. And then something so shocking happened, and I still don't understand why. We were talking about how many kids each of us wanted in the future. I said I didn't want any, she said she wanted 5. We explained the logic behind our decisions. Well, I did, Christina called me wrong and selfish. I understand wanting something without logic in it, thats what being a parent is, but I thought she was way too rude about it. Finally the food came and she told me the conversation was done, and she didn't want to talk about it anymore. I was shocked about how abrupt she was. She was short with me before that, but thats easy to forgive. Suddenyl she was furious over a simple debate. Turns out I interrupted her by accident and she took it rather hard. Hard enough to tell me that I don't let her voice her opinions and its too hard being her friend. Seriously? She could have said Sarah I'm still talking, I would have said sorry, and we could have moved on. Then she said we always fight when we talk and she won't do that anymore. Um, let me introduce you to the difference between a debate and a fight? Why would I fight over how many kids she wants? Then I asked her why she would be so passive aggressive for so long. Because that never is a good idea. She says, "That's what friendship is, putting someone else first." She said it like, hey Sarah, you're a bitch who never puts friends first! All of this was out of the blue to me.

I got so upset at her rudeness that I stormed out of the restaurant.

The last thing that I said to her was, I'm too mad to talk now, if you have anything to say to me it will have to wait. Then I see she has deleted me off of facebook. Thats that adult maturity I was looking for. Like those people who change their status directly after a breakup.

I spoke to Alicia about what happened. I wanted the advice of a neutral party who also knows Christina. I tried to call Sara first, but she was busy. Sidenote: She's moving out on Dec. 15 and that explains her being so crazed. Alicia said that Christina told her I insulted her mother and stole her bf. ???????! How does that even make sense!? I only said one thing about her mother, that I want to adopt like she did. Christina is adopted. But she took offense to that. I don't know why, I said I wanted to do something positive like her mother did, so she twisted it in her mind somehow.

Now, this whole bf thing...I don't even know where to begin. She told Alcia it was some guy I message on facebook. So I asked every guy who wrote on my wall recently. They all said no. I asked my friend Michael Carlson, because he loves in Waterloo and there was a tiny chance her knew her when she went to school there briefly. But he's never heard of her. What really gets me about this is that its not what she told me she was upset about.

Which brings me to another problem. Chrisitna left Waterloo because she had a mental breakdown. She's had a few other episodes since then, and been in hospitals. Alicia suggested that was the problem, and I thought of it myself, but wasn't willing to consider it without some sort of evidence. Well, I might have that. Alicia said she was making no sense whey they spoke. She told me flat out, 'What Christina was saying made no sense to me. I didn't think you were like that." Luckily Alicia has faith in me. She volunteered to speak to her again and try to figure out what guy we're talking about, and to explain about the mother insult misunderstanding. Apparently, Christina was acting really loopy. She wouldn't say who the guy was, and completely ignored the insult explanation. She apparently would veer off in a different direction and talk about random things, like a guy who messaged her on facebook. Alicia was really creeped out. So now I'm trying to talk to Sara, see if she gets the same type of reaction. If she does, we'll have to find some sort of way to take action and make sure she gets the help she needs.

Alicia was always willing to help, but now she seems freaked out. Usually she just waits for me to contqact her, but this time she left me a message that said I'm worried I think she is relapsing.

Yesterday, there was a huge backup in the subway tunnel. The workers somewhere between Bloor and Eglington caused some sort of issue, I believe they punched a holei n the ground or something. So that section of the train line was shit down. It made me late for rehearsal, but luckily I switch lines at Bloor, so I got off just before the problem. We did stop in the tunnel a few times though. Again, I was lucky because my boss Donna heard the announcement on the streetcar and understood. Too bad it screwed up so many people's day. The images on TV of everyone walking is insane. Apparently everyone was pissed because they had to walk 2 blocks, or they had to wait for a shuttle bus, which they say you had to wait for for over an hour. And cabs were gouging people, demanding $20 for 2 blocks. My thoughts? Its 2 blocks!!! Walk, you lazy asses! Its not like it wasn't a nice day or something. It was a beautiful Canadian November day. I didn't even have to wear a coat, my new sweat shirt was perfectly acceptable. And I'm one of those people who despises the cold, so if I was fine they would be too. This is why people in the country say that city people are spoiled. In this case I'm inclined to agree.

Went to the eye doctor today, finally getting my awesome new contact lens brand. The ones that sit best on my eyes. Not much else happened today. Me and Mom drove by Kristen's new place, it looked okay. I personally wouldn't want to get an attached house. If I have to live that close to someone, I'll take a reasonably priced apartment instead. I guarantee that she'll be trying to sell it in a year or so.

Loving the new Flyleaf CD, but there aren't enough screams on it. They went much more mainstream on Memento Mori. The live Epica album is ok. Still waiting on The Phantom Agony from Amazon. Amazon is beginning to get on my nerves. I am seeing a real decline in the quality of their service. Everything is late. But here is a hint. I've been complaining about it, saying I'm paying for shipping and you aren't holding up your end of the bargain, and they sometimes give me a discount. I may have to do that again with this item.

No plans for tomorrow night, but mani/pedi with Christina on Saturday.

Shopping With Laura

I spent waaaaayyy too much today. But it was fun. I got Memento Mori from Flyleaf, and the Slassical Conspiracy from Epica. I also got the new Star Trek movie (I still swear I'm not a Trekkie) 2 bras, 2 shirts one sweater and one sweatshirt. I also finally got my passport photo done, so I can finish my paperwork and finally get that. Then I can put it on my resume. That is definitely something good to have on a stage management resume. Or any theatre/tech resume.

Rehearsal tomorrow. Donna sent me my Camp Rock script, and she'll give me the cd of songs tomorrow.

Picking Up

So this weekend I actually remembered to make plans... and everyone cancelled on me. Ihad one of those moments where I felt like my life was shit, because I never see my friends, I have no job, no boyfriend, and I've been living at home.

I really need to work on fixing my life. I can't find work, no bf leads, and with no job I can't move out though.

On the other hand, I'm supposed to go shopping with Laura tomorrow, and get a manicure with Christina on the weekend. Not really my thing, but still sounds like fun.

Now I just need to get the FUCK out of this house.

Camp Rock!

Working with these kids is kind of silly. The older kids are very enthusiastic, but the younger ones have no attention spans, and they need to be reprimanded often. I never really cared for kids at that age. I really did enjoy working with the girls whoa ctually studied theirlines, and who have great ideas about what they want to do onstage.

The show will be more of a workshop. The set and the costumes will be minimal (basically, nonexistent) and I'm sure most won't even know their lines, but its something new to do while I'm looking for a new job. Plus I think its hilarious that I will have Camp Rock on my resume.

Getting Out Of The House!

Even if its only one day a week.

Volunteering to help out at a Camp Rock workshop at a public school. It could potentially lead to more work. Only one day a week, which is nice.

Feeling Gross

Still sick, but I refuse to take off my lasdt day from work. I missed Friday and Saturday. I missed Halloween when working on a Halloween show! So I am not missing tonight.

Thursday I spent the day at the hospital. They didn't think I was as bad as the walk in doctor thought I was. But they used magic or something to get my fever down. Their Tylenol is seemingly better than mine.
Tuesday, I was running a huge fever and had to babysit Cameron, my sister's boyfriend's kid. Kids have too much energy when I feel well, so you can imagine how it went. We played with my old Lego. I wanted to watch a quiet movie, but that did not work out.
